Final EMAPS-Cardio progress meeting in Vilnius
Partners review progress so far and plan for final phase of project implementation
The EMAPS-Cardio team met in beautiful Vilnius from 25 June to 27 June 2025 for their final progress meeting. Hosted by partner IMC at their facilities in northern Vilnius, the meeting allowed for plenty of time in the labs to discuss final adjustments and improvements of the process. This is also where the optical detection system with its 24-well-plate, developed by CSEM and shipped to Vilnius in advance, was set up and finetuned. The meeting also focused on the discussion of the open tasks until project end, which revolve mainly around validation of the control and diseased cardiac models and integration of the scaffolds with the sensors. On the second day, partners discussed their communication and dissemination efforts, including scientific publications, and a local filming crew was invited to capture interview footage and footage of the assembled system in the lab. These clips, in which partners delve further into the results generated and the impact to be achieved in cardiac research and drug development. The final video will be made available on this website by end of August 2025.
