EMAPS-Cardio Success Story Featured in German Ministry Publication

EMAPS-Cardio was featured as one of ten outstanding projects in a publication by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany. The 2023 publication, titled "Successful projects in industrial key technologies" ("Vielfältig wie die aktuellen Herausforderungen in der EU – erfolgreiche Projekte im Bereich der industriellen Schlüsseltechnologien") covers a broad spectrum of current and completed EU-funded projects that contribute to the development of various technological innovations. EMAPS-Cardio stands out as the only project financed through lump sum funding, thus highlighting not only our innovative scientific approach but also the project's novel organisational aspects.

Each consortium featured in the publication includes at least one German project partner, underscoring the crucial role of German partners in these cross-border endeavours. In the case of EMAPS-Cardio, the article focuses on German SMEs OSPIN, which is responsible for developing a new bioreactor for tissue cultures, and EURICE, which focusses on innovation and project management. EURICE coordinated the article, providing insights into the goals and organisational structures of EMAPS-Cardio.

The publisher, the German National Contact Point for Digital and Industrial Technologies (NKS DIT), is a service and consulting centre that operates under the helm of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). It focuses on research and innovation funding opportunities in the European Union, specifically in the field of digital and industrial technologies.
